2009 Xserve Raid - Bay/Drive disappears after reboot

Hi All

I have a 2009 Xserve, fitted with 3 2TB drives, after a reboot, not every reboot, 1 random drive bay will be missing.

There is no pattern or specific drive or bay that does it, its just always 1 bay at random.

How do i even go about finding the cause of this?

Have the disks been jumpered to disable auto-negotiation of the interface speed and set it to the correct value?
